PM (Polarization Maintaining) filter CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing) is a cost-effective and flexible WDM solution to provide polarization maintenance, low insertion loss, high return loss, extinction ratio, environmental stability, and reliability in fiber optic amplifiers, CWDM networks, high-speed communication systems, and fiber optic instrumentation applications. What is a PM Filter CWDM?
PM filter CWDM is a passive micro-optic device that uses environmentally stable TFF(Thin-Film Filter) technology to achieve a wide pass band, low insertion loss, high channel isolation, high extinction ratio, maintain signal polarization, and Panda PM fiber on all input and output fibers. It combines or splits a single channel from the rest of the CWDM channels. It is available without or with connectors (FC/APC, FC/UPC, UPC/APC, LC/SC/FC/ST), the connector key is aligned to the slow axis, channel spacing of 20nm, and the operating wavelength of 1270, 1290, 1610 nm, etc.

What is the Role of PM Filter CWDM?
PM filter CWDM maintains signal polarization and provides wavelength division multiplexing. It is expanding the bandwidth of metro/access networks. PM filter CWDM is based on thin-film filter (TFF) technology and can act as MUX/DEMUX with 20nm channel spacing. In addition, it blocks out unwanted noise signals in EDFAs and fiber laser systems. PM filter CWDM can multiplex or demultiplex multiple wavelengths over a single fiber. The filters only allow specific wavelengths of light to pass through the filter to a single fiber port, and the remainder of the wavelengths are reflected to another separated fiber port.
