    There is a wide range of quality of products in the Fiber Optic industry. For PLC splitter, you should make sure that the parameters such as insertion loss and return loss are tested, and the quality of the splitter is guaranteed because these products are the principal power loss points in the whole network. If their parameters don’t meet the standard, the whole network will break down because of huge power loss (light power).

    Bare fiber type, blockless type, module type (plastic cassette type),

    1. Sun Telecom uses high precision ferrules which can greatly reduce insertion loss. Some products in the market might be made of recycled ferrules, connector parts, fibers, etc which can bring huge insertion loss.

    2. For the chips, Sun Telecom’s splitters use QNIX’s splitter chips. These chips consist of input and output which have single or multi waveguides and split the optical signals into output waveguides of N*channels from input. They provide             compact design to make one wafer contain lots of high yield of premium-grade chips in order to get low insertion loss and low polarization dependent loss. Also, these chips provide high channel-channel uniformity.

    3. Sun Telecom’s splitters also have good fiber array with V-Grooves in order to provide high reliability and fiber core location without any displacement.

    4. For our module type splitter, Sun Telecom uses ABS with good impact resistance with toughness and rigidity and excellent process ability and appearance as the shell material. Some products in the market might be made of recycled                 plastic with low intensity and bad glossiness.

    5. Sun Telecom also provides special production line with high quality control to make sure all the parameters are much better than telecommunication standard.
